Pretty good for a MIDI.
....it IS a MIDI, right?
Har har, I work in MIDI, I find it easier overall. It WAS a midi, but is not any longer. Why? Does it sound as such? T.T...because that is one of the faults when you work with in the midi file format, sometimes songs just sound like one >.>.
i read the other review. but however you altered the theme is incredible and i did fell it was the same just a few instrunments were missing. 10/10 5/5 fav+
:O Well, whatever you think :P. Thanks for the review and the 10/10 I am glad you liked it...I hope to upload more soon...but since I stopped composing for 5 months I am having trouble getting back to my old style.
Thanks again though
I find myself reviewing your material the most, simply due to the amount of passion you erupt within me with your expertly crafted songs^_^
Anyway, the rhythm and symphony this has is jaw dropping, and the fact it was on one of the greatest rpg's ever told also tends to add in it's favour:D
I seriously cannot see this getting any better and I condemn myself for actually saying this..but.. I honestly believe you did this song better then the original.
Soak them words in my friend, for it took a lot of heart and convincing for me to type them words. I believe it to be true, however.
Keep up the fantastic and moving work dude, it keeps some of us going.
"Expertly crafted songs" oh sorry...forgot the "^_^" :P
Haha, that is a compliment too highly used on one such as me. My songs are not 'expertly crafted' I simply take what I believe should be in there (or not in some cases) and play with it. There is no master at work here, just a clever computer nerd with a little time on his hands. Thanks though 8D.
This song is better then the original...BUT the people over as...erm...wowz...what was it >.>, bah I will tell you in a PM ><.
Anyhow, ignoring that...delay, I would have to say that this review is quite great in the fact that you just reviewed a song that gave me just a little headache.
As always thanks alot and look for that PM...god what were they called...OH! Check out http://www.ocremix.com and look for the same song, THEY kick me out of the park...painfully.
Hmm, I suppose I will write another Terra review. It it absolutely, lovely none less to say, but there are some things about it that just do not commend to a higher score. One thing is that the horns being used do not seem to be being used to their capabilities. They need to be more full, filled with more notes, as being used at breaking repetitive intervals cause them to drive some attention away from the main melody. Perhaps if the horns would have blended more it would not be needed, but it just feels like it does.
ANOTHER Terra review eh? Fine >.> I will deal with that as this is just ANOTHER Terra song XD (just messing around ^^;). I am going to concentrate on one thing here...you said that the horns..."do not seem to be being used to their capabilities. They need to be more full, filled with more notes...". Hmm that is not a bad point, there is very little I can do to it now as I have lost the original work but I will keep in mind what you have pointed out as it may help in later works.
Thanks for that though, reviews are supposed to snap at the creator a little...and this snapped in a good way.
Very Similar, and a Bit Different.
I like that you've put a different feel into this piece. It sounds very appropriate. And, well, Terra was a weapon of the military just as you start the game, so it's even still applicable to her. Apologies for the short review, it's very late here, but I do like what you've done. Similar, yet different, is what I think a remix should be. And this is a little on the similar side, but pretty good. 8/10.
Oh..my, completely missed all these reviews, what a shame.
Hmm, so you have played the game and it is likely that you have heard a fair share of remixes. So I thank you for the 8/10 and the review...both are appreciated.
"Similar, yet different, is what I think a remix should be." I fully agree...though every once in a while its nice to hear a complete remix of a song...just not too often.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
