Not particularly proud of this one. I had only ONE chance to do as decent vocals as I could. As mentioned earlier, my father, who didn’t like my singing while he was working at home. I hardly had time to edit either, and didn’t have the developed skills to do so at this time. It had been a couple months since my first computer got a virus so I had to go back to version 1 for a while. I kinda rushed through this one just so I could have something to post.

I'll be honest with you. This wasn't my pride or joy. Of my entire list this one was my least favorite. Both to make and to listen to. A lot of it had to do with my unsupportive father. I wasn't allowed to actually get into the singing that much cause he worked from home. Also, i realized Sonic R vocals should be done by a chick. Doesn't work the other way around. But, still a part of my history. Can't get rid of it. I even tried to delete it but changed my mind just cause it's still a part of my history.

I got this game as part a pack of 6 games; & I was starting to think I was like 1 of 10 people in the world who played this game & enjoyed the hell out of it! Either I was mistaken or you're one of those 10 people :p
The mix itself is fantastic, A+. The only thing I can suggest is to use a better mic & re-record the vocals in higher quality, you sing well but it needs a bit more emphasis & perhaps have some more confidence in your voice; just try to sing louder, project from the diaphragm. You probably know this so don't take offense; I imagine you just had to sing softer because loudness produces pops & cracks in low quality microphones.
Kudos, gotta dig those lyrics; they always get stuck in my head & I find myself singing them at random times! If I were to pick a single favorite song from all of the Sonic games put together it would be this one, "Living In The City" from the same game as a close second, & Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic 2.
Great job overall, it takes a lot confidence to do a job like this. You obviously have that covered, so go with it & don't be shy with those pipes!

Sometimes I think I am one of the 10 as well lol.
This was done about 4 years ago. So many things have changed. If I were to sing this now, it probably would be a LOT better. If I had the instruments I do now back then, it would be a LOT better. And actually, I had to sing softer because I was still living with the parents who for some reason hated "loud noises", and me singing is "just playing too loudly". Yeah. That was my environment growing up. Fuck that bullshit. Things change, and I could probably do better now. Or at least everyone thinks so in every karaoke contest I win (thats a lot of $$$ btw)
I really don't know what my favorite Sonic song is. There's so many to choose from. But I really want to remix Sonic Heroes' Seaside Hill. That one's catchy and makes me feel good. But maybe it's just the level itself.
Anyway, I'm glad you liked this song. Thanks for the review

In terms of criticism, the echoes in the beginning kinda obscure the vocals, and the parts where you go off melody are kinda weird... but i love the lyrics...
