Walking a Path of forgotten Memories, You accidentally shake hands with one of your fears, yet You carry on and leave everything to the past

This track had a very weird developement. I didn't really like it at first, but as I progressed more and more, I absolutely adored it. I really am proud of this one. It is kinda poetic; hating what you have done in the past, but liking what you did now...

Eitherway, enjoy!

(This was probably the most closest I came into making a track in the style of Xenoblade Chronicles X lmao)

This Track was made for the Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch 2019

Completely forgot this even existed for some reason... Feel really stupid now, ANYWAYS on to the review I neglected to write.

Well, remember how I told you to find your own style to mix with X's stuff

THIS IS PERFECT!

Add this to your Orchestral stuff and I think this is perfect.

I will say that the style of Melodic and Heavy drops should be alternated for example one track should have the Melodic drop before the heavy drop.

I do stuff similar to this (yours in 1000 times better tho) and from what I've found with the right amount of mixing, the Orchestra and Electronic go really well together .

Another should have the same structure as this.

But I love that last drop a TON. At first I felt it was weird, but looking back almost a month later, Its Awesome. The first drop was good to, it took sound design from many of your older songs.

On an unrelated note, you really should try DnB sometime, I would love that.

Great job. Just Great job...

Agente001Tomhson responds:

Thank ya! Maybe I'll do some DnB!

This is an official NGADM '19 Review.

Composition:
The beginning absolutely had me immersed. The rest of it was definitely my type of thing. It was in this fluid state of being a melodic dubstep / drumstep style and I was eating it up (although probably leaned more towards drumstep).

Production:
I think this could have been a little cleaner. You handle the quieter sections beautifully, but in the drops I think there was a little too much going in in the mids, and the kick I think was a little too bassy. In reality though, these are minor complaints and didn't stop me from enjoying it.

Sound design:
Again, the beginning sounds had me hooked from the start. Everything you picked worked wonderfully to the main sound of the whole piece, and I love how wet and metallic the bass synths sounded in the drop. The only real complaint I have is the piercing synth at 2:27.

Structure:
Good progression and good transitions. I can really see the storyline you were trying to create in the description. There was a lot of dynamics in energy, and it the themes you have really added well to the emotion.

Emotion / Conclusion:
I loved it. I kinda wish I made it lol.

Agente001Tomhson responds:

Thank you very much man!

Very creative rhythmic content and sound design at the beginning. I like the swelling chords and glitchy tracking software sound effects. The airy beats at :24 are nice too, and the touch of dissonance in the background really adds a rich diversity to the texture. The smooth guitar at :48 really threw me off guard, and that riff ends about as suddenly as it begins at 1:14. I’m enjoying the sense of apprehension and suspense in the texture, but at the same time the texture feels very transitional towards the beginning of the piece, and it takes a long time (2 full minutes) before the texture forms a concrete climax. I like the drop at 2:00, although it does drag on for a bit long. The punchy bridge at 3:14 is a nice touch, too, and that section really highlights the strong mastering quality of the piece. At times, I thought the mixing effects on the drums were a bit much, though, especially the compression and reverb. The piece definitely comes together well with the synth brass solos at 4:15, although I wish the notes of that solo were a bit more distinct in the mix. The guitar solo at the end was pretty evocative, although I would’ve liked to see you integrate it better with the thematic content of the rest of the piece. Overall, you really told a story with this one. Strong work with the sound design, mastering, harmonic content, and atmosphere. Keep at it, Tomhson! :)

Synths are a great combo of massive and melodic. Loving the production and transitions.

The sound aesthetic reminds me of the visual aesthetic of the VR Game Robo Recall, for some reason (Love that game).

Very cool, calculated, but also dancey.
Great job and good luck!
