I like the airy synths at the beginning and the crisp and creative percussion at :13. The mix is a tad over-compressed at times (most notably the drums), and some of the synths (especially at :27) were a tad cheesy. The flow is nice, but the piece takes a long time to develop, and doesn’t have a ton of dynamic melodic content. The refrain/drop at 1:10 sounds very chordal and even a bit formulaic. I like the re-intro at 1:38, and the cute riff at 1:52 was nice. I like the variations at the second drop at 2:33, and the piece certainly comes together well by the end. My favorite elements of the piece are the mixing, atmosphere, and flow. I think there are aspects of the piece that could use more originality, especially the drum samples and the chord progression, and also that the rhythm can be quite square sometimes. Overall, though, this is a strong piece with some cool sound design and melodies, and I’ve definitely enjoyed listening to your work over the course of the competition. Keep at it, Runanova! ^_^

This was the first time I participated to a music contest and I never thought I could go so far!
Thanks a lot to you and all the staff of the contest! <3

Nice timing on that beginning melody. And that percussion is crisp and clear. very nice. And then all hell breaks loose. Way to establish a melody! And when it gets going it is infectious. I can hear the hard work and talent saturating this creation. So far my favorite part is 1:52-2:19. Just bad ass. Quality work here. Stagnates a tiny bit towards the end of the song but by no means is it bad because it just turns in a different direction and implodes on itself. Love it.

Muy buena!

The best thing about this track by far is the incredible sound production and mixing. Everything sounds very clear. Especially during the intro, the way those bell-like sounds whirl around and how clearly the drums and perc are with the right amount of reverb. So good.

Maybe you could have used different leads for the melody lines during the breakdown since it gets relativly repetitive. The variation you added near the end definitly changes things up in a good way. The part from 3:00-3:12 could have been changed since it is pretty much the same as the 4 bars before it only with hihats and perc. When it first comes around 1:25 it was new but by then we already heard it.

Nitpicks aside it is a really good track with wonderful mixing!

hey mate, I'm working on a game and releasing it soon, could I use your track? Full credit ofc.

Runanova responds:

Of course you can! I'd really apreciate!
