I like the ominous atmosphere at the beginning and the sense of climax into :28. The drums are very loud, and at times the strings on the off-beats at :28 sound a bit distorted by other elements of the texture. The eastern-sounding instruments are nice at 1:01, although much of the next 30 seconds feels very drawn-out and transitional in a way that’s out of proportion with the still tension-filled section at 1:26. The mixing effects and sound design are cool, but the mix is a bit over-compressed and the texture sounds pretty minimal throughout the rest of the piece. I would’ve liked to hear some more harmonic variety, melodic content, and stable emotional heights during the last half of the piece. I can tell you’re a talented producer, and I did enjoy the sound design, atmosphere, and rhythmic content of this one, but the composition here is pretty underwhelming at the end of the day. Still, I hope you’ll keep working on this piece; it has a lot of potential. Keep at it, Uxvellda! :)

Whao! Thanks!

Wow u also sent it for competition! Good luck lol

I see a lot Xtrullor in your song!
Let me just drop some comments:
The snare drum lacks a lot of mid frequency and the low mid peak. It makes the drum less punchy and overwhelming. Also, the non-drum parts of the song lacks mid frequency as well. It is a determinating part of the music, as the human ear hears pitch variations in the mid frequency the best. The volume difference between the drums and the melody is a bit too much; dont be afraid to make stuff loud! As long as you have high frenquencies to cover up the distortion its chill!
The rest of the song is pretty good!

PS: I would like the growls in the drop be super distorted, it will add a lot of epicness!

Pure Excellence... and um, geometry dash player here waiting for their approval. I wanna use your soundtrack BADLY

Uxvellda responds:

I used to be a Geometry Dash player...
Actually, waiting for approval takes a lot of time, so I think I should keep going... Thanks for the review!

Cool! I like the atmosphere and the sound design! I love the drop rhythm and all good job!
