the subtle piano parts are reminding me of ramin djawadi
I've composed this film for a movie project that was planned to go to cinema here in Hugary with a planned release in 2014 or something.
However there were so many struggles with it (money has ran low, there were some wicked backstories how the producer got scammed by a business partner - which I was never able to learn if it was true or just a 'cover story'), that in 2014 the film was kind of cancelled. Of course I've never received any contract to sign, nor any money from my work, while I've composed every piece of music that the director requested.
In 2018 the movie was finally put together, but there was no real glory there either - the editing changed, since I've last saw the film, and this change was not for the better. It got into the cinemas, as far as I remember the local Cinema City branc aired the film for a week or so, and after that some art cinemas were playing it for around 2-3 weeks - not generating much attention. Also critics were bashing the film into the ground for the script and the way it was realized.
A few word about the film itself: it is a kind of actualization of the novel "Dangerous Liaisons" from Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, set in today's era and into the world of online dating. The concept of the film was that it'll show all the characters and the story through the "lense" of a webcam, thus throughout the film the viewer sees talking hands into his/her face.
The story was overall not bad, and I think the actors brought out the best possible from the script, however some dialogues were poorly written and/or unrealistic, and also the pacing of the events was a bit off.
Due to the concept, the director wanted to have a more realistic approach, and asked no music for most of the talking scenes - therefore 90% of the movie had no music. There were few parts, like the prologue in the beginning, the interludes, and two musical montages where music was requested.
Currently I was only able to find the piece I wrote to the prologue, so I thought I'd upload it here, as a sad memento of an indie musicians misery.

I'm aware that this is not my best work, probably I was aware that my work won't be rewarded comparably with my efforst... nevertheless I hope you like the piece somewhat and feel free to rate, comment, download or use the music.
