How to Have a Perfect Night

We collaborated for a competition on chipscompo.com Everreverb focused on the trance sections while Everratic focused on the orchestral sections.

I used to envy the people who knew how to enjoy themselves at parties. I was timid and reclusive; other people could see it in my eyes, and they didn’t approach me. I feared the consequences of getting drunk, but for some reason I was super curious to know what it felt like. One night I decided to let myself drink a little more than usual, deliberately getting drunk, but not so much so that I would feel miserable the next day. I ended up striking up a conversation with a lonely woman sitting next to me, which was unprecedented for me. We talked about music, politics, our work, and it seemed like we both had a great time. We were alone together. I got her number, and we met at the party of another mutual friend the following week. I walked up to her and said hello, and she immediately steered me to a corner of the room and gave me a bright blue pill and a cup of water. I felt the beginning of a panic attack, yet somehow my fingers grabbed the pill, and my mouth swallowed it. We ended up partying hard, and I woke up in her bed the next morning.

Nice history... and nice song.

In a difficult moment for me, listen to music is my only way to get out my mind and my problems. So I appreciate your song! Thank you Everratic and EverReverb...

Thank you. I'm glad this helped you :)

Amazing intro!
If I may nitpick -
0:15 - onwards - wish the chords [rhythm] were little wider in stereo field or even more automated in different ways, eventhough the choir is already widely spread.
I even think violin would sound better with more reverb as if it was coming from far away, maybe even raise the freq around 5khz or so.
Stomp at 0:30 was top notch with amazing new lead.
As I more think of it, tribal build-up would really work great in that part. (just a thought at first/second listen)
Lead at 0:45 was ok, but also could've been better processed imho. (guess automating and experimenting reverb/delay/phaser would do the trick).
Loved the ravy part at 1:17, nothin' to say there.
Second chorus was best part of the song, including the solo orchestral parts, as well as ending.
In conclusion automating the fx of leads could benefit the whole texture and movement even more. Also, lovely structure, song's nicely wrapped up and I loved the trance/orchestral combo, think you managed to deliver very well.

Thank you for the review! We appreciate the comments :)

I agree with all your points. The leads are automated a bit, but they could indeed have been automated more. I also think I could have done a better job with the mixing. Perhaps with a better mix, the existing automation could have been more noticeable.

Incredible! Love the variety! Your synth choices and mixing is sublime! Great job! I LOVE it!
