Fray borrows melodies from legendary Dj Splash's Forever Dancing.
My music production career started somewhere around in 2013 when I was a different kind of a bloke. Back then I wasted my days smashing my gameboy in the back row whenever naggly teachers weren't watching how my studying performance is going. I rocked oversized gray sweatpants, gaming snapbacks and hoodies that had pockets big enough to support couple energy drink cans. I was a cringy, arrogant asshat. I miss those times.
Along with my concerning gaming addiction, I spent my time scratching my scalp trying to figure out what the hell all those buttons in FL Studio did. I took my inspiration from Dj Splash, everyone's favourite artist from elementary school. Like I was stuck in the last decade, I wanted to do songs like Splash. Fast forward to 2018 and we've come a long way. I'd leave it to you to argue if our styles are similar.
Fray is like oldskool and newskool Jacques Melissa in a nutshell. Give a slice of piano chords, pint of mysterious vibes and untz untz beats and you got exactly everything I've made in the last five years.
So can I listen to this chap anywhere else, you ask?
