Ten Years of Tragedy #1
-
Ten Years into all this, and many things haven't changed. I still only make music I want to listen to. I seek no money, no fame, and no glory. The only recognition I want is from people I also enjoy, and most of that is privately and away from any spotlights and especially contests, etc. I do not crave fans or attention. The few who are here, I appreciate. They like what I do simply because I do it.

I do thank Slaughter Club, and Lich for their collab efforts of course. Nothing, however, compares to the ongoing friendship that I've found in Heartgrinder. Perhaps in the next 200 tracks I'll work with others, I always wanted to work with Alice (Mako) but it just didn't work out and she's shifted gears. Music is a tertiary thing for me anyway (compared to art and writing - anchorwind.net) . I upload here out of tradition now.

It's been a wonderful journey so far, I don't know if there will be a Mother Machine 7 but we'll take things one step at a time. I didn't think there would be a MM6 but encouragement is it's own drug I suppose :) .

Oh HELL yes, love this atmosphere, love that wide low-bit buzzing and the rest of the sound design. Everything here occupies a finely carved-out space, right where it belongs, where it can stretch and breathe. Interesting beatwork, scenery gets rearranged plenty without feeling like it's losing focus. YA DID US GOOD YA DID

Anchorwind responds:

:) Glad I could brighten your day.

Man this makes me pretty sad, I loved all the mother machine albums. Hearing that 6 might have been the last bothers be bigtime! Well I'll always be here and apreciate your future works. Thats for sure!

Anchorwind responds:

I thought about how to respond to this for a while. I appreciate the encouragement. As stated, MM6 only exists because of encouragement - so you never know :) . Furthermore, in 2013 I released a track called 'Playtime is Over.' It was the end of MM2, and was supposed to the end of Mother Machine, then. MM1 was a story album, and MM2 was me taking that analog sound, and that dance music idea and fusing it with other genres and running with it. It was fun, but I had thought that was all. Again, encouragement (and creativity) let me know that I wasn't done.

I did say "I don't know if..." As it stands now I have no idea what direction to go, I have no solid ambitions, etc. Generally, something would already be in the works, etc. It's a new year! I've enjoyed the last few tracks I've made (This one, Paranoia) a lot. Perhaps I'll learn from that somehow? I'm not ruling anything out, I just have no plans. I could hit a manic phase, some inspiration, and boom! It's happened before :) . On the other side, I am also running into the "I've done that already" wall.

Regardless of what happens, I'll try not to let you down :)
