I made this song a few months ago, but I'm completely new to Newgrounds, so here ya go.

This song, like pretty much all of my music, is experimental. I'm always learning, so I like trying new things. For this one, it was meshing different styles and using vocals. Might not actually be techno, but I don't know the distinctions between genres very well :P

Failpositive helped me a lot with this song, especially with the second half. He's probably a better artist than I am, objectively speaking. Go give him some love: https://soundcloud.com/failpositive

Made with FL Studio, a bit of Kontakt, a dash of soundfonts, a heaping of Serum, a pinch of Massive, and a heaping of sinsy.jp, baked at 350 degrees for 5 months.

The harmonics are highly inspiring. But sadly the overdrive of the voice hurts (physically). The sudden change of pace in the second half with the fast gameing-like rhythm is interesting but comes rather out of place.

Maybe try to not overdrive the voice. That's what is killing the pleasure of finding goods in your rather ambitious experimental piece.

Pretty good! I like how it had that crescendo with the beat coming in and then re-introducing the vocals again.

Sounds like lots of Porter Robinson influence here. I can get behind that.

The intro alongside the robotic voice was a great contrast and worked really well. However, I got kind of lost once the beat came in. I think I can see what you were going for there, but it didn't really do it for me. I think a more chilled out beat would have worked wonders, but that just a matter of personal preference.

Keep it up! Promising work.

QuirkySquid responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, there's definitely some Goodbye to a World vibes going on here.

Honestly the entire section after the drop was the hardest for me. That's the part that Failpositive mainly worked on, and his style is definitely different from mine. I definitely see where you're coming from, and I might still make tweaks to it at some point.
