My biggest critique would be the third phrase of the first half, and the build up.
Let me start off though by saying all the melodic elements are on point! I especially love the arp.

Now excuse me, I haven't heard the original, but the biggest thing for me is that on the third phrase, you introduce that big synth that imo has too much energy. It is slightly jarring because the area before it didn't really have as much energy (this isn't as much of an issue on second drop imo). The biggest problem though, is that it takes a bit of the power off of the drop, which is the biggest part of the song with these "festival" tracks. Maybe add a filter to it or change the melody/rhythm? Or have the same notes played by another synth?

Also the build up drums seemed a bit quiet to me. I could barely make out the drums. I used tracks like Florian Picasso - Origami and Martin Garrix & Firebeatz - Heicopter, and all of them had louder snares.

P.S. If you want to ignore my ideas on my first point, maybe try making it like R3hab and Skytech - Everything where the build up is a bit more seperate from the melodic elements and drop?

Anyways keep it up! Looking forward to your next track!

Hi housewerk,

First of all, thank you so much for this honest "review"!

Imo you're right about the snare, it is a bit quiet.I introduced the big synth on the third phrase because it gives the overall track a lot of energy. A song needs a story, but I think this sounds fine.

The overall drums are a bit quiet, I'll make them louder. Thank again, for your feedback :)
