the game uses the hypothetical "μLSOUND" chipset, as i enjoy working within imagined limitations. the "chip" allows for:
• 12 channels of PCM playback @ 44.1khz 16-bit output
• mono and stereo 8-bit samples up to 32khz
• per-sample memory limit of 32kb
• 256kb total tracker file RAM
