It Takes Two

I had an interesting conversation earlier today that inspired me to make this. i finished the song in just under two hours.

The violin can sound piercing at times, which was done intentionally. I also tried to make the piano sound harsh and cold to enhance the song's tone.

the violin keeps subverting my expectations with every note it plays and it's beautiful, love a unique melody. the sampled ambience is nice but a little generic, for something like this i imagine sounds of doors opening and closing, thuds and creaks of footsteps, distored radio frequencies etc.. might not be what you're going for but it's an idea. really cool stuff :)

Thanks for the review! Those are good ideas :)

Under two hours? Woah. Guess inspiration counts big time.
Totally your sound, as soon as that violin kicks in. :)
Love the composition and omnius chords.
Sounds like a sad love story that takes place on a rainy/stormy night just outside of castle.
Well done!

I'm glad you like it.

This is honestly the best orquestral piece I’ve heard here on Newgrounds. So... tranquility style! I was wondering which vst plugin/anything musical you used for this? You nailed it, great job.

Everratic responds:

That's a really great compliment! :O

The vsts are:
Piano - Walker 1955 Concert D
Joshua Bell Violin

I think this violin is a must-have. It's super easy to use, sounds good out of the box, and gives you all sorts of articulations and styles. This piano is good but not spectacular.

Thanks for the review!
