I finally bought FL Studio woohoo

Out of hype I made this chill track in a few hours. Enjoy!

Awesome track, definitely your best so far.

Chord progressions and melodies are really nice, and the sound design on each instrument and sampling is really clean and warm-sounding.

When the drums came in, I felt like the sidechain may have been a little too strong. Also, while I do like the sounds for the drums and think they’re pretty cool, a more conventional drum sample probably would’ve done a greater justice. You could still just layer your samples on top if you wanna keep them, because they do sound nice; they just don’t pack enough of a punch, I guess. The hi-hat should’ve been a bit louder, and the drum rhythm could be changed a bit. I can tell you were going for a more laid-back feel with the drums and the rest of the song, which is fine, but personally I would’ve made the drums a little more “fun,” I guess. Not necessarily on quite the same level as breakcore, but somewhere in between.

A nice bass track would’ve made it feel more full, along with some more reverb on some of the instruments.

Besides all of that, mixing and composition are on point with this song. Really chill, relaxing, and just nice to listen to. This is what general ambient music is all about.

Aweror responds:

Glad you enjoyed! I've been going for a more chill vibe lately. And sorry about the sidechain I've been having too much fun with that lol
