This would be real nice for a game and I enjoyed listening to star kiwi.

Per the Review for Review Thread:

I'll just start off the bat with this: This is a solid song. The mix feels right, and the bass isn't overpowering. However, I do not know if this fits well with the shoot'em up genre, as I could tell that is what you were seeking to do with this song, but I think the bpm should be faster and be more action-y or more in the style of a Gradius 3 style of music...

I think the song would work better as like a space-y/platforming type of game, which is generally in the right sphere for what you were trying to achieve. As far as drums go, I think what you have works properly, and you have all the extra stuff going to keep them interesting.

The one critique I do have is with the bass because it is doing what it's suppose to do, but I think more variety could be involved with the song so it doesn't stale too quickly. It might be a matter of personal opinion here, but the variety might be helpful in keeping the song interesting.

Also, I'm noticing the progression could use more variety as well. I know with the gaming genre (I've struggled massively with the genre as well), there are certain expectation people have with it, and I think sticking with the same chord progression throughout this song can get boring fast, which a song on loop should avoid.

As a wrap up, the TL;DR version is this:
- Solid song
- Mix and mastering feels great
- Needs more action-y substance
- Bass needs variety
- Progression needs variety

I really appreciate in-depth reviews. Thank you so much for being as thorough as you were. I agree that the BPM should be faster. I'll speed it up to 150 or 155 for the final version; and also put some variety in the bass line as well. :)

Fun and upbeat! It feels very fresh all the way through. It doesn't stay in the same place very long and progresses really nice. The mix sounds really good too. Well done on this one!
