Some cancerous dubstep.
For the NGUAC 2018 Knockout-Round.

Nice

So this one was nice you have a good melody here and it really shows well the sound within that melody plays out well too I heard some drums in there I think you should push some drums more and more domminant drums too it would really be a cool idea too I like the idea of pushing the drums harder seems like you have some good potential on pushing more drums but that's my take on things

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Push the drums more

So drums.
Harder drums.
Bigger drums.

Got it.

I like the contained sound at the beginning and the punchy drums at :28. The frequencies are well-balanced, and the sense of climax into :53 is great. Despite the somewhat generic-sounding synth bass (3xOsc?), I thought your sound design was pretty good overall. The drop wasn’t quite as hard-hitting as I was expecting, but I like the interaction between the bass and the piano. The melodic content at 1:45 was a nice touch that really gave the piece back to a blissful, easy sound momentarily. I guess my main complaint here is probably that there isn’t much variety between the first and second halves of the piece, although I do like the addition of the melody above the grouchy bass during the second half. Harmonically, the piece isn’t particularly interesting, and elements of the arrangement and texture can be generic at times. The structure and transitions are all good. The production quality is high, and the mix is very loud (maybe even too loud, but I’m usually not a stickler for over-compression). Just be careful about distortion when you have a flat brick of sound in the visualizer. Overall, solid work. I can tell you’re a talented producer. Keep it up, YeahYay!

Looks like this may have been brick wall limited. That kick at 13 is massively loud. I feel like it's going to squash everything in its path.

By 0:41 I'm noticing pretty hardcore side-chain pumping, and your instruments are starting to sound muddy. The compression here is a bit beyond what your instrumental can sustain.

Drop at 1:22 is not as clean sounding as 1:13, but it is catchy. I'd bring that kick down about 1-2 dB, possibly space out your keys a little bit. They sound very centered, which makes the track as a whole sound more quaint and narrow than it really is.

2:18 section was a good choice stylistically. I would have probably been ear fatigued by now had you not moved to a slow triplet feel. Can't tell if you've actually changed meter or not, but the effect is the same.

Chord progression is good. Bass, compelling. I find myself wanting a little more of your snares and claps. Solid structure and the piece seems to know where it's going for the most part melodically.

Nice work for a three day cram piece. Thanks for coming out to NGUAC!
