Not sure if this was intentional, but I felt sort of a Reggae Vibe due to the rhythm. I haven't felt a vibe like that on a dubstep since I listened to Make it Bun Dem by Skrillex and Damien Marley.
While playing Freedom Planet, something irked me as to how many sound effects sound so much like the basses used in dubstep and electro/bass house and the like. Specifically, Brevon's Absolution, the gravity fields, and Milla's Cube attacks.
So I decided to take these sound effects and repurpose them as basslines. In this track, I chose Milla's Alchemy as the subject at hand.
All sounds are designed, post-processed, and mixed by myself. Any drum samples come exclusively from VST drum kits, which I layered and mixed to my own perfection.
No sound effects from Freedom Planet were sampled; they served as models and inspiration for the sounds in my track, which I needed to post-process and mix myself to suit the genre anyway. In no way did GalaxyTrail/SpacemanStrife give me permission, nor did I ask them, to sample these sounds for use in the track.
Cheers to a friend for providing me a vocal!
