The third chapter opens with mostly world-building. Behind the narrator's voice telling the story of the Great War which desolated most of the kingdoms in the realms only some twenty years ago. The protagonists, Leo and Lilia are walking through a bustling and dusty marketplace in the lower areas of a city that was once grand and mighty - now a grim reminder of the war which laid waste to the nine realms.
