something that popped into my mind while climbing stairs of a hospital

edit may 21 2008- After reading some reviews here, i think i should write some explanations about this tune.
Is an old project, the melody popped into my mind in the summer of 2003 when i was taking care of my ex wife. I was climbing the stairs to her room after i found out that she have cancer, so, i guess that's why this is not really a happy song ...
I stayed with this tune in my mind for one year, i was busy with other things, not having time and will do make music.
Thanx for listening, i hope the story will not make you too sad.
As one of the reviews say "now you've made me afraid of walking up hospital stairsl" , well, i hope you'll never have to.
Stay healthy and happy (also rich if you can).

this is a really cool song! The orchestral stuff mixes well!

sorohanro responds:

this is really cool, you gave me a 6

Sounds very Haunted Mansion Holiday Edition.
You know with Jack Skellington and all those.

Awesome atmosphere and very ominous sounding.

sorohanro responds:

he he ... one of my favourite composers is Danny Elfmann, so i guess it shows
thanx for review

I loved it!

I closed my eyes. It literally gave me chills. excellent piece.

sorohanro responds:

music somehow tends to get more 3D when i close my eyes, too bad i can't listen it like that all the times (i work in an orchestra and reading music with closed eyes ... you know...)
thanx for review

I read what you said!

But i felt this could've been eq'd better and some of the notes were off

and maybe not enough effort was put into this.

sorohanro responds:

I work as a professional musician in orchestra (two years at the Romanian National Opera form Cluj and six years at the Targu-Mures Philarmony Orchestra) and i try to make my music to sound like the real thing i hear every day, that include panning, Eq and reverb.
as for the effort, check the woodwinds section, see how melody pass from one group of instruments to another, how the peak of the melody is underlined by horn section ... if that don't require effort ... ??? i don't know ...
well, thanx for review
