I like the ominous mood at the beginning and the chord progression. Samples aren't the best - brass sounds especially fake - and the mix is pretty quiet. I think you overuse that ghostly whooshing effect (:49 and other places) after a while. I also think the progression is pretty slow-paced, but I really like the melodic content that starts at around 1:05. The piece has a drone-like quality, but lacks a strong sense of direction for most of the piece. Fits nicely as background music, sure, but the composition could've been a lot more creative. I also think there are quite a few sudden moments of transition, such as 2:28. The minimalism wears on me after a while, and overall I think the piece needs more variety. More compression would help with the quiet mix. That said, my favorite attributes were the mood and melodies. Piece has a really emotional quality, which I appreciate. Keep at it, man!
