hard techno track? dunno
Good work man! I'm not a huge fan of techno myself so i don't think i can review this indepth.
Do like the clarity and depth in the intro, phaser or flanger? i dunno something sounds metallic and i like it. Favourite thing by far is that kick though dude, its big and has body, the slight distortion in it gives it this tribal feel which is a real nice subtle touch, it drives the track all the way to the end, well played man, good work!
its an old djembe sample sliced up and i added some metallic reverb then layered it with the same sample which i compressed the crap out of. after that some more reverb and a simple deep phaser to give it depth :P the kick should sound fulfilling yes :D thank you!
0:00-0:50 - I really liked the atmosphere it created, sounding like hammers from one of modem's tracks. Really drags on though. :I
0:50-1:27 - The kicks really just drowned out the entire hammer sounds, you should've made the kicks less quiet or the hammers louder.
1:28-2:07 - The arp sounded nice, but again, the kicks drowned it. Again, it drags on a bit.
2:07-2:20 - The high-hats are a really nice touch to it, finally something not drowned.
2:20-3:18 - Wow, that arp just sounds plain amazing, fitting in with the track as a whole. But again, it still drags on.
3:18-3:44 - Basically 1:28-2:07.
3:44-4:09 - Really nice outro.

Total, 3/5, 6/10. Really good sound design, but things dragged on way too much and some things basically drowned.
this kick is supposed to be really hard and muff out all else, but you're right it has really bad mixing throughout the track, the arp should sound clearer. I might come back to this to fix it. Ive only used this track in my mixes to enhance or give some spice to a different track so that's why it drags a lot, so i could loop the thing :D ty for your constructive review, ill look into it :P
