Welcome to Robotica! A busy, bustling planet home entirely to sentient robots. This track describes the tale of one's arrival to this bustling planet, and the chaos that he or she experiences. The aftermath of this chaos leads to the entire planet being decimated, until the planet rebuilds itself once again.

Boy oh boy this was hard to create. For one thing, it took me so much time to begin this correctly. A lot of testing and tweaking then led to this ambient beginning, and the rest I was able to do quite smoothly.
The bass though, I drew some inspiration to SeamlessR's basses. It was hard for me to come up with anything, so I looked at some of SeanlessR's basses, and found one I quite enjoyed, so I tried to replicate his bass, but then found that I created something entirely different on my own. Still, i think it has some of his influence there.
Overall this track took five hours, and I'm quite happy of how this turned out. I tried making Melodic Dubstep, but this could very well be regular Dubstep. Like you can see that this is almost a hybrid of Pirate Bossfight and Hyperspace Travel. Maybe I should've called this Hyperspace Bossfight? Anyways, this definitely is my best, even better than Hyperspace Travel and Pirate Bossfight. I hope you enjoy :)

Somehow this reminded me of 'Heartbeat' music by SnoodDood. The soundbank isn't the best but you made it sound really good. I agree with things said in Varsity's review although I barely understand some of them :D

This really sounds original. I think some details need to be said as well:
1. Default drum samples. Seriously, I don't think it's a good idea to use them in your projects. They don't just generally sound bad, they also don't fit with the theme of your song.
2. Some mixing problems. Much like in my works, some drums (like clap and cymbal) sound a bit off simply because they're too loud.

The drop had dissonances but it didn't sound bad to me, actually, I really liked it. The addendum of the actual melody above the drop made it even better. And the beginning sound effect fits the song really well.

Robotica. This name fits the song really well. At first I thought the sample was quite unpleasant and annoying but then I realised that this is what makes the track more robotic. But the drums still feel off as I said earlier.

Things are looking upwards for you and I see how far you've improved since Pirate Bossfight. The only thing I can say is good luck with your future projects.

BreadKing responds:

Ahh thank you Erso for the response. So for this one, I tried to find new drum samples actually, but gave up halfway through. Sorry about that.
For the mixing, I do see what you mean. I wasn't actually aware that the cymbals were too loud, so I guess I'll change that.
Thank you for your reviews. You've opened my eyes to many problems, but for each one, you've stayed so respectful and constructive. Thank you for this :)

Also the dissonance, I'll improve that.

This is really good! What happened to the waveform lmao.

Anyway, let me actually talk about it. The song overall is good. The only things that need to be done are to have much better mixing. I.E, that kick is so side-chained that is sounds weird.
Mixing is hard. I'm not particularly good at it. However, the idea is that you have compressors pushing things back, and waveshapers etc. pushing things forward, and volume levels. At the moment, cymatics has a good book on mixing free (pdf). link: https://academy.fm/free-courses/

Another thing: sound design. I get that you don't have serum. That's rough. I've been there. I'd give it to you, but unfortunately, I only have 1 license. As for using the FL plugins, look up sound design tutorials! There are some great ones out there. IF you are thinking of getting serum, here's a link to a rent-to-own copy. https://splice.com/plugins/15493-serum-vst-au-by-xfer-records If you have the cash, it is very much worth it. Dubstep bases become a breeze.

Finally, Mastering. The song is not very well edited. This goes with sound design. A big part of it is the synth, but a good song needs to be mastered well. This consists of distortion, EQing, etc. Don't just put one on for the entire track- use automation!

Now the good things:
The song really painted a picture of Robotica, and this is what music is for. REALLY nice job, that's hard to accomplish.
The song's composition was good. Nothing caught me off guard, but it wasn't generic.
Finally, the ideas. This sounds cheesy, but it really is the thought that counts. Once you have your IDEAS down, then its time to start fine-tuning, and learning new things.

Good.

BreadKing responds:

Thank you for this review :) I'll go in depth of replying to this, but I don't have time right now.
