A song dedicated to my Russian friend F2X1, a snowy tribute to him!

Out of the dead of winter I emerge, and I return.

This song heavily relies on holophonic mastering, which places the audio all around you - behind, in front, left right and up and down. A lot is placed on the audio production and mastering - with the wind and effects it reminds one of snowy landscapes, and makes one glad they are inside. This song was originally created by F2X1, I have remade it, fixed things around and added my own touch to it - hope he likes it!

probably my favorite track I've heard by you so far (only scratched the surface). Great work with those background pads and sequences.

IoTheEternal responds:

Thanks man - the other ones are remastered - this one was composed new - so when I finally finish remastering all the others I'll start making songs like this again - I just don't want to pepper it in as I am doing it or the quality difference will seem weird and then my remasters won't seem as.. impactful.. keep in mind for most of my remasters they are 14 years old the original songs.

Glad you like this one and its.. snowyness :P

thanks for the review!

Very nice,kinda techno/ambient hybrid

Great use of synth and build up.Love the deep sonar sound and transitions u made

IoTheEternal responds:

Thanks man! This was the first "new" song I made for my account - even though it is ultimately a remix - so current up to date techniques were used to mix it.. so when I do eventually start to make new songs again they will probably all sound like this mastering wise hehe..

I hope you liked the snowy vibe as well :)

thanks for the review hun!

Your use of holophonic mastering is excellent, and really adds to ambiance of this song. Great use of reverb as well. When I close my eyes, I can almost see snow lighting falling.

IoTheEternal responds:

Thanks man! This is just a teaser of what I am capable of - once I remaster all my old songs I wish to explore it further :)

thanks for the review!

I feel like the build up snares could lead to something more "powerful" but I really like the overall feel of the song. Maybe the snares are used a bit too much though, but overall it has an "organic" feel that I struggle to add to my own work. Good job here.

IoTheEternal responds:

thanks man - and yeah they might have been.. this song suffers a bit of what it is it wants to be - but the whooshes and high end sounds to me add to the "snowy" winter vibe of the song :)

This song was never meant to be anything powerful, but just a ponderous ambient trancey track - but hey if you ever wanna remix it be my guest :)

thanks for the review man! :)

This is pretty nice, and also suits the name really nicely! I also love that riser at 1:44 :D There are only a couple of things that I would change:
- Just up the volume of the bass *slightly* - it sounds super dope and I'd love to be able to appreciate it more.
- Arguably it's a tad repetitive, maybe introduce a new lead or something at certain points over the top of the main composition.

But all of that is really just a -1/2 a star, great work, keep it up!

IoTheEternal responds:

I kinda like the ponderous ambient theme though - perhaps this is more ambient than trance.. I dunno which I want it to be hehe.. too much dreamscaper inspiration..

and I can try to boost the bass slightly and see how it goes - I worry about it drowning out the rest of the track. I will see what I can do.

thanks for the review hun! :)
