Hello, It's been a little while since I've done anything so I thought I'd have a crack at the art-inspired music thing. I had a bit of a look through Newgrounds' artist portal and my god people are talented.
Anyhoo, I stumbled across Kaolinn and her art is bloody incredible. I used her Myth artwork as inspiration for this track, go check her work out, it's incredible.

So there seems to be some piano in there and its a nice subtle start and soon picks up the speed and builds up to a steady pace that right there alone was a very high quality element that you added and its a lovely tune not really needing much more but overall this was a nice piece.

some backround ambient sound/fx would be nice but maybe not needed.

Official AIM2018 Review!
Very nice, almost cinematic intro here. I find myself wanting just a bit less reverb on what sounds like a harp synth, a bit more on those pikes. Maybe some panning and delay. Very nice fantasy vibe throughout.
The distortion on some synths is a nice touch.
I keep wanting that hi-passed drum break to come in around 19khz and not somewhere in the 20's before panning down. Overall, just a great sound going on here. Around 1:45, I very quickly missed that break. Maybe a short fill would have been better.
Very smooth production here. Still a bit reverb heavy. Around 2:29 the break is a bit ham handed and in your face for the accompaniment. This is remedied with a hi-pass sweep.
3:07 break sounds almost completely out of character in relation to the rest of the tune. Probably could have done better with a less throaty synth. Transition out of that is a beautiful variation on our main theme. All is forgiven, haha.
This may be the sweetest sounding DnB I've heard in a while. Very nice work! Thanks for turning out to this year's competition!
Happy to see some of Kaolinn's work selected for one of these tracks! :) Agree, it's fantastic, and this music follows this particular piece really well, with such a soft and imaginative ambience and then... bam, blast of percussion kicking in... or not... despite the waveform it really keeps the peace, and ambience all the way through. Imaginative and airy. The break fits right in, too, with some creatively wonky beats right after. Awesome ambience all the way.
