Parts remind me of early final fantasy, and others remind me of those nes games. It's pretty good!
This one goes from being mysterious to grand, then back to mysterious, and you are left pondering the meaning of life... okay, kidding on that last one. This is another piece from the tail end of my most prolific of early years - this was around the time I believe I was getting a pretty good grasp of what a cohesive and interesting piece should sound like - while being topped off with some emotion. (I would call Thoughts from that era a fluke, honestly xD I did not even realize I had that good a piece on me until someone else pointed it out to me!)
In my now usual fashion, I cobble together the most unlikely of instruments, use them in the most unusual of ways and run with it.
Done in ModPlug Tracker, samples mostly KiArchive.
Enjoy!

I see where you got both. I am a fan of Nobuo Uematsu's work. The limitations I dealt with back then were not much different from what 80s and early 90s composers dealt with for video games. And glad you like :)
