I think most of the human population routinely struggles to realize that we are just apes wandering around on a floating spherical wet rock.

Somehow we discovered that our universe is 92 billion light years across

Somehow we discovered the particles that make up the universe, which are 1 trillionth the size of a grain of sand.

and discovering how everything works is just on the horizon.

Somehow we have survived this far, yet we also struggle to realize that in order to keep surviving, we need to bring our resources together. Because the road ahead is only going to get more difficult, and wasting time on petty conflict such as inequality and war will not make it easier.

We simply need to become United as a species.
