You did a great job mixing the two genre's. it seemed to be such a sudden end. it was a good introduction, but the body that you built up to, didn't have enough umpf hahahhaa. it was very relaxing, with a hyper tension. well done eh :)
My ears hurt
Just because it's trance doesn't mean it has to be a 30 second chunk of audio on a 3 minute loop.
Well, I'm not one to actually spot a Jazz song when I see one, nor do I know a specific Jazz Instrument, besides maybe a Trumpet. So, I can't see much of that genre in the song.
Any other name to the song, I would of probably shrugged it by. For some reason, there's a gloomy, yet hyper feel to the song. There were points where I just thought the notes and the pads were connecting, but it is minor.
I sort of wanted to hear a solid melody come in. Ya know, the kind of melody where you have a break, the melody breaks down and then it builds back up to it's full potential. BUT, that's only because yours truly is a Melodic / Progressive Trance fanatic.
Anyways, a solid 8 out of 10, with a Fiven :P
Thanks, the only jazz aspect about it is the chord progression.
I'll keep your suggestions in mind, and keep reviewing my work! I'll return the favor!
The melody in the beginning sounds false and dissonant. The atmosphere of that build-up is pretty nice, but everything is just very dissonant in the beginning. Just doesn't sound right. When the beat kicks in it gets a little better. The sound quality is pretty good. Could have used a more powered clap and such.
Maybe you should have removed a bit bass out of it too.
It's a nice idea for a genre-fusion though!
It just isn't that great
Ooh... Yeah, the Gmaj7s and G-maj7s didn't work so well. Neither did the G6s or the G-6s.
Thanks for reviewing.
