intro music box is lovely, use it more often, but then at 35 it's just scary. i don't mind but most people will run away 1.03 guitar riff is great, vocals sounds good but i didn't understand anything besides that the guy is losing at his favourite videogame to his girlfriend and that's why he's so mad or something like that, i don't know "metal" , scream , be angry , be scary, never really understood the purpose of this kind of musical expression ... unless you want to make "people repellent" like with the parasite repellent you know, female choiry vocal is pretty cool at 4.09 . 4.40 riff is cool too. i guess it could fit some scary movie chase scene
5.36 was probably a part of the new song that ... was rendered by a mistake? and it also just _ stops all the sudden , completely abruptly.
again, please don't take any of it seriously or as an insult, i respect the vocalist's work here, but i just write it all as i'm listening, like what i'm genuinely feeling about the thing i'm listening to , without filtering and being polite and all of that. There's a lot of good things and i think i've pointed some of them out, also the mix is kind of muddy overall, i don't know much about the way of fixing that it's has more to do with production technicality than with music.
there definetely is a lot of room for improvement as well as a lot of things that are already good, keep going , good sir, it gets better, don't take it too seriously. our producer has the right attitude about these things, she practically gave her insulting nickname to herself, and she's constantly making fun of everything she does as well as what we're doing, and it's really great and inspiring to watch young people taking these pretty hard things so lightly.
you know , there's this great quote - angels fly , because they take themselves lightly, that's exaclt what diana is doing, that's the best kind of thing that i can reccomend to anybody that's trying to get into the production. because it hard, my goodness, when she talks about it , it's like 20 things at the same time, all of that stereo and compression and signal routing, i can't imagine figuring all this crazy nonsense, getting it all right is like what you're doing with 40 instruments and i can only applaude you on that, but also putting the production on top of all that, you're one determined omnimusician, sir.
*standing ovations*

Naghorvik responds:

Hey Thanks for the honest review.

I'm thrilled to hear that my style Scares you a bit. I often enjoy going from light to dark unexpectedly, I grew up on a lot of Mr. Bungle, Captain Beefheart, King Crimson etc. . . I don't like to play it safe in that department. Unless of course I am deliberately going for a pop song structure. (which I do at times) Great music to some extent should challenge its listener.

The guy on vocals no longer works with me in my solo projects. Typical rock and roll lifestyle BS, had to let him go. I actually ripped his vocals off of Madame Space Cowboy for reasons similar to what you stated. He did go through a bad break up while recording. Quite an astute and amusing observation on your part. Its always fascinating how music gives those who takes the time to listen a window into the soul. Aside from that Harsh vocals are an acquired taste one either digs it or they don't. I try not to over indulge.

I actually didn't check the track after uploading I will fix the weird ending which yes is another song. My bad that was quite amateur :P

I too am a producer and engineer who has worked in many Better Pro studio environments. Most of my solo stuff falls victim to the limitations of budget bedroom studio. Basically all the tracks on my profile are from a studio build in progress. Sadly my monitoring capacity has been somewhat limited. I feel like I'm mixing blind and deaf sometimes but soon upgrades will happen. I know the bass and lower mid frequencies are creating some strange soup that cant be quite explained away by just saying its Punk or Black Metal influenced. If I actually told you how much hardware and software gear went into these tracks you'd probably laugh at how they came out. Most defiantly needs a fresh scrubbing in the mix.

I'm actually not new at getting into production I've worked in studios all over Toronto including doing soundtrack work for the CBC and Director Harmony Coin (Kids, Gummo) Radkey Studios. I use a lot of Komplete stuff as well the female choir was a Reaktor synth.
