This one will be the largest things i probably produce this year. I bloody hope at least.
This project held a chain around my neck for 2 months. At first the workflow was great. Every melody and bass worked out exactly the way i intended. But as hours started to stack, so did my desperation. I can swear that last 10 hours were me just forcing myself to finish this. It was unpleasant. Also as the time passed, sounds started to change in the mess which was the automation section. I truly wish don't have to deal with such a long and horrendous workflow ever again.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this piece.

Really good work. I am enjoying this a lot. Your composition is pretty solid, and your sound design is pretty top notch. The biggest issue you have that's really holding your song back from being really great is the mixing and production of this song. Your instruments don't sound like they exist in the same atmosphere with each other. Best example I can give is at 0:48. Everything before that was great, that long intro was perfect. I loved when you even added new sounds before that. The bass, the brass, the drums, all sound great.....except for that harpsichord. It sticks out like a sore thumb with how dry it is. It needed at least some reverb to match what you have going on with the brass and the piano. Another example would be around the 3:30 area. That growl/wobble bass could have benefited from being less dry.
Those two spots aren't the only spots, but I was just using them for examples. Aside from those types of mixing issues, I really enjoyed this. This is great work.

Ramn0 responds:

Thanks for the honest feedback.

Mixing has always been the tough nut to bite through for me :P

This sounds like a DJ-Nate song but produced by someone with a little less expertise. AKA it's purely amazing.
The melodies are so cool! They sound Asian.

What DAW are you in? (I'm betting its Fl or Ableton)

Ramn0 responds:

FL studio 12. Will switch to FL20 soon.

Also I'm surprised that it sounds like DJ-nate. Definitely not what I was originally going for, but it's neat to see someone connect the dots for me :)

Sounds very professional, very good work here, you won another fan!

The basses in the drops are absolutely amazing, the torture this track seemed to put you through was absolutely worth it. I love the atmosphere of everything, to be honest.
*Only thing i'd suggest is some reverb on the snare so it sounds a little longer*
