Thanks! Best software to make music with, is the one you feel comfortable with. I started with and still use Logic Pro X but that's because I already had a Mac. If you are on PC, I would take a look at Ableton Live. I heard "Reason" by Propellerhead is good DAW too. Another one is Reaper, free DAW. Most of them have trials available. You could try a few and see which one clicks for you.
