With the symphony done, I wanted to get back to basics and write a piano sonata. I developed upon a couple of older songs of mine and connected them using a scherzo in G.

Not exactly a textbook sonata, the development section's in the key of Emin/G, sorta magic using the circle of fifths there rather than just doing music in D maj. The recapitulation's not an exact repeat of the beginning.
