I was a real hater for these guys, I'll admit. I've grown as an artist and consumer of music since August of 2017, or at least I'd like to think so. If you wanna know my current take on these guys, here it is:
Lil Uzi Vert and Yachty are not bad at what they do, I just don't like how Uzi spits a step before the beat most of the time. His beat taste is amazing and he can sometimes pull together an impressive vocal performance!
I don't like how Yachty's voice sounds on the track and I refuse to believe he's labbed his voice to death and settled on his current cadence as "his best sound" because it is still unpleasant for the most part. I still feel like he could be doing so much better with his voice. Also, Yachty's taste in beats is ass.
Half a point for being a parody. -2.5 stars for the minute of time to listen. - 1 velcro patch for 0 effort lyrics.
Honorable mention to the engineering in the back end doe, someone knows what they are doing and makes this lyrical garbage even listenable. So props to the producer here. No the rapper.
