== This is an official NGUAC Review ==
Okay, so I have to say that the one thing I really like about this song is... almost every melody that that one plucky bell thing plays. (The one introduced at 0:27.) For instance, the little melodic motif at 0:38 to 0:44 is just great! THATS THE KIND OF MELODY I NEED MORE OF IN MY LIFE.
Unfortunately, you seem to have come down with a disease... the SOUND DESIGN DISEASE. It makes you unable to hear just what your sound design sounds like. Like, that harsh arpeggiated instrument that is in almost the entire song is both super de duper repetitive, but also far too loud. But even worse is the fact that it sounds really bad. A much more gentle tone, such as an acoustic guitar pluck or something, would have worked MILES better than the harsh and grating tone that you chose. This is basically the way I feel about nearly every instrument in this track (aside from the bell pluck thing, which is okay). Try listening to the sounds in other tracks and trying to imitate what they do.
All in all, nice compositional work, just needs some sound design love! =)
Mini-scores (not used to calculate final score in any way - just so you know what needs improvement):
Sound Design: 1/4
Thanks for the review, and not to make this more awkward than it already is...this song was not allowed in the contest. Again, I appreciate the review, but this song was out of the whole NGUAC. :/
Pretty nice, maybe a bit repetitive.
Thanks! It was just a little song for the NGUAC...but it wasn't allowed. ;)
