New classical style music.

This would have been so much more fun to listen to if the melodies and ideas weren't kinda pushed into my face. The percussion is probably the weakest point of your track. Progression is pretty strong and even pretty, but the percussion is both hiding and somewhat oppressive at the same time. It's not bad once you get confident and let that perc come out of the shadows. The instruments are a bit obnoxiously synthy though. You're also kind of lacking an overarching melody.

I thought the reverse crash at the beginning was a little unnecessary, and didn’t really help introduce the piece that much. I like the orchestral elements, but I’m not sure they fit in well with the cliche drums. Also, the kick, as well as the off-beat hi-hats at 1:08, seem to be struggling to come through the mix a bit. I also would suggest taking a little more treble off of those violins at 1:30. You really overuse the transition with the reverse crash after a while, and I think the melodic content needs to be further up-front in the mix. I could tell your samples were fake, but it didn’t bother me that much until 3:20. That violin solo has a uniform attack and vibrato, and it just felt too exposed to not humanize a little more. I was a little turned off by the reverse crash at 5:04 that didn’t really lead anywhere. Overall, I applaud your work with the string harmonies and melodic content. I think you need a lot more variety in your transitions, and I also think you could’ve done a lot more creative things with the drums at times. I’ve been tough on you in this review, but I think my main problem with the piece is the lazy transitions which gave it a bit of a pasted-together structure. Keep it up, Larrylarrybb! ;)

your style really reminds me of phonometrologist where he would just let one really really progression go for like minutes at a time and change it up every now and then (and also not have a melody, wups).

i think this is good stuff, it's a great progression, it just lacks a little subtlety, like if stuff was less in my face it would have been amazingly effective. like im imagining this as a solo piano piece or something.

also that drum beat does not fit at all lol i think you could just remove it.

Thanks for the input! Haha yeah the drumbeat is sort of a genre crossover from hip-hop/pop music with the classical.
