yay for fusion!
This sounded pretty good. I would ignore people that say to stick to one genre, because blending genres is what makes one unique. Especially making anything that falls into the "McTrance" category, considering that the genre was named after the company that made food standardized.
Now, I will say that this could definitely use some leveling/mastering. The ending was a tad weak, but the intro kicked ass. Maybe bring the kick down a tad, and lift up the hats a bit. That, and make an ending that justifies this song a bit better, and this song would be amazing.
Keep it up! 5/5
Thanks for the review!
I'm going to put up a full version soon.
Yay McDonalds! XD
I liked the kick
made the song harder... but it also made it repetitive. Work on playing with various sorts of distortion, to keep the drums sounding unique. The melody was good, but it kinda sounded like it was halfway wanting to be hardcore, halfway wanting to be epic. I suggest u pick a genre for your song, not sloppily blend 3 different types of techno together, cus then u get people who dont like the kick, for example.
Thanks for the tipss. Next time I'll try for just 1 genre, lol.
I loved the intro, And i feel you brought the melody in well (which was also good)
I also liked the hi hat/cymbals line, it flowed very well.
You had a lot of diversity in the song changing up the melody whenever you could and bringing it back, it was nice.
I Did not like the kick! It was too much bassy... you need a bass for that, not a kick... The kick alot of times is the backbone for the song, and the kick you chose really didnt do the song justice... pick a less bassy kick.
Also one part of the melody I didn't like but thats just my taste. And the main synth "shook a little too much for my liking"
But the only real thing I didn't enjoy about this song was that kick... Change that kick and this is an entirely different song.
Nice work on this BTW
The reason you probably didn't like the kick was because this is a mix between Gabber, McTrance & Dark Trance. So, if you don't like Gabber, you won't like this song. >w<
Thanks for the review, BTW.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
