We have made it through the Audition of the Newgrounds Audio Death Match (NGADM) 2017, so we kept our eyes open over the night before the First Round's deadline to create a new menu. The first release on the Newgrounds branch yesterday was highly unpolished. Fortunately, the competition host extended the deadline for a couple of days. We used half of it to polish our work. Now that the visualizer was made, it is final!

Oh, so much good-natured fun going on here. Lots of spacy synths, cute bass, good structures and fun flourishes. Mix is a bit muddy though. Bass could use a little more presence. Reverb and those super long note tails on your pads are bleeding pretty hard. Percussion is sort of buried under the entire composition, especially your leads.
Good writing, so-so mixing and mastering. Enjoyed.

Although you didn't complain about the composition, most of the time, I can't point out the flaw in the mix by myself when I don't have the clear final image of the track in my head. Not sure if this can be called the writer's block, but I can only think about one really catchy melody and nothing else lately, hence the repetitive pad, arps, and lead synths after 0:42.
Damn, that's smooth, and catchy. I'd love to hear this style, but closer to the speed of slipstream.
I like the sense of climax into :13 and the sound design. Good use of the entire frequency range here. The piece has a dreamy, atmospheric quality that works well with the upbeat mood. I like the way the riff at 1:08 gradually climbs up the scale. Still, I really think this piece needed to be fleshed out more. Some stronger melodic content would also have helped a lot. Despite the atmosphere, it has a lot of pizzicato-y elements without many legato sounds for contrast. The loop is smooth, although overall I think this piece is lacking compositionally. The production quality is high, but the structural and arranging elements needed some more effort. Keep at it, Noisysundae. ;)
