A track I made as a part of studying and experimenting with music for the horror genre, both film and video games. It is supposed to represent the feeling of being chased by something evil, running through a dark forest into endless clouds of mist.

For this track I used mostly Omnisphere 2

I like the apprehensive mood at the beginning and the atmosphere. The harsh bell sounds at :17 fit the suspenseful backdrop well. The sound design here is killer. The piece is a little slow to progress, though, and has a lot of pent-up tension that never really gets resolved. I would’ve liked to hear more melodic content here as well. You’ve given the listener the intro, but now I need the chase scene itself. Your title even implies that the piece isn’t structurally complete: “the chase begins.” I have no complaints about the production. The sense of climax is great here. Clearly you’re a talented composer, but in the future I’ll need to see you demonstrate that you know how to flesh out the structure of your pieces more. Keep at it, man. ;)

I remember judging your A.I.M piece last year, and yet again you are able to perfectly portray the atmosphere you are going for. The mixing is top notch, the sound design is amazing and the atmosphere in this is of the chart. Great work! Take my follow, and I hope you continue to submit music on here :D. Alltid fint å ha en annen nordmann på newgrounds ;).

Thanks for your kind words :) I will try and upload more of my stuff on Newgrounds, I upload a new track on my youtube every Friday. So I will probably upload some of my earlier works here, but on a set schedule, so maybe 1 track per week or something.

Aner ikke hvor hvem andre som er nordmenn her, veit du om det er mange på Newgrounds?
