This was the first song I ever produced, and also the first lyrics I wrote. It's mainly inspired by the compositions of Syd Barrett, as it has that kind of psychedelic imagery with fantasy themes and that kind of stuff.
The chord progression is pretty simple and it keeps a simple verse-chorus structure, which goes on alternating, then there's a bridge where an electric piano incorporates with an slighty different melody.
It's also the first song I use my bass guitar on, which I had purchased a few weeks before recording the song :D
I don't remember quite well the virtual instruments or plugins I used, but for the guitar parts I mostly used Guitar Rig, and a few instruments from Journeys (AAS soundbank).

I like the mood and instruments at the beginning. The vocals are really smooth and relaxed, and blend well with the other instruments. The panning might’ve been a little extreme - the bell-like percussion at :53 sounds a bit harsh in my ear. The structure of the piece feels a bit stagnant after a couple of minutes, so I really appreciated the solo at 1:56. One thing you could do to really take this piece to the next level compositionally is add some dynamics, phrasing, or other structural variety. Right now, is has a near-constant energy, which isn’t always ideal for keeping the listener engaged. I also thought the ending was a bit lazy. That said, you clearly have a great sense of melody and harmony, and the instrumentation here is great. Keep it up, Eviladrianin! :)
