Oh my...I utterly love this. I'd listen to this to calm down, sleep, and just relax. God, I wish this was my life theme. ~skiddle
lol I wish this was my life too
I like the atmosphere at the beginning. It’s a little slow to progress, but the first 38 seconds or so does have this haunting beauty to it. I like the piano instrument too, although the chord progression is a little cliche. I like the beat that comes in at 1:17. I think the hats could use a bit more pop in the mix to really make that beat snappy, but if you were going for a smoother vibe I understand that too. :) The melody at 1:55 is really enjoyable, although it gets very repetitive when you don’t vary it much at all for the next 2 minutes. I think this piece could use a lot more shape and variety - dynamics, phrasing, and development are all really important things to think about. The atmosphere and mood are my favorite parts of the piece, though - you killed it on that front. The composition could use a little more creativity, though. Keep at it, man. ;)
Wow, thank you! I never receive reviews this detailed!
Great Work, nice 'chill vibes'.
Some of the sounds sound too loud & distorted (DAW issue?) dunno if that's what you're talking about.
I like the eerie sound in the beginning, just enough high pitched to give it feel.
The piano is quite generic and sounds a bit 'fake' (maybe more reverb?)
The percussion in the beat (along with the snare) have more power than they should have compared to the kick
When the lowpass is on, the percussion get REALLY distorted.
Really nice and chill, but receptive from the lack of melody - the main thing that keeps it intresting are the effects and drums, the instruments seem to be on a loop the whole time. (Maybe add a Haywyre style synth or something on top?)
When the song is done, I feel more relaxed and kinda want to hear the song again.
W in K ;)
this is a really helpful review!
yeah, the distortion is an issue. its some sort of problem with the filter and the phase, i cant quite put my finger on it though. the piano probably could use some more reverb.
thank you for the review tho :)
Wow, very nice and atmospheric. Would be a good song to build a simplistic themed or modernistic level around. ;) Great job!
Thank you :)
