A Boat Sails Away 2016_17

This piece is about the patch to the Linux Kernel known as GRSecurity. Recently it went full commercial: no publically available downloads anymore.
The Linux kernel is a libre/opensource licenced piece of systems software. GRSecurity is a series of changes and additions made to it, and then distributed as a diff (the difference between the vanilla kernel and the additions). GRSecurity is fully dependent on the Linux kernel, and not the other way around.

This is about said opensource project leaving the publically available space and sailing off on it's own (or pretending to).

Note: a boat: not a ship. A boat must stay within rage of the land or it's mother ship; it cannot sail the open sea alone: it is not stand-alone
Much like GRSecurity which is a non-seperable and wholly derivative work of (the) Linux (kernel). Without being patched into the kernel code GRSecurity does nothing.

Instruments used: Korg Minilogue, Roland JX-03 synths.
Audio Dual Licensed CC-BY-SA, Gnu GPL v2
