Tales of the shore dweller - pt. 2:

As in silence, voices strike,
minds collapse like waves.
Ripples reveal a face, ghostlike,
To be rescued from deep graves.

Misery's staring at the blue,
petrified, as stunned by wonder.
Flee, my man, flee, I beg you!
Flee the dreams of wild blue yonder...

It's been a while since I uploaded something. I was very busy with my study. As soon as I got time, I started working on this piece. Glad to be back here with some music!

This song is an attempt to musically translate a specific feeling I had the past weeks. I'm very happy with the result!

Some production background: I spent 26 hours on this song spread over the course of around 3 months. All synths except for the piano and the strings are made by me. The song is mixed on headphones.

As always, I'd love to hear what this song makes you think of, and if you feel like leaving a review, it will be very much appreciated :D.

I very rarely come across anything on NewGrounds that catches my attention and that I will like, but from 1:12 onward I got hooked. You've done a pretty good job at harmonizing together the piano chords, bass synths and the drum beat. They support and make up each other wonderfully, not to mention the successions/chord progressions, which are very satisfactory as well. Only thing I'd criticize is how short the three parts are; I'd love to hear more. Great work on this piece, BlastBeats!

Thank you so much for this lovely review! I'm currently taking a break from making music to focus more on my studies. Comments like this really make me want to get back into music again :D

what i hear in this? well it feels like it tells the story of how mechanical contraptions slowly replace organic beings, at first simply from jobs and such then being tired of being treated not as an equal. starts a revolution, attacking people and replacing them everywhere, then once at the 1st break they realize they cant everything humans can, so they keep 2 alive and slowly but surely the population grows back to the way it was, both sides now having a mutual respect towards another and now lives as equals. Okay now onto the song, as someone who doesnt with genres like this i cant give you much constructive criticism, because for me that sounded pretty amazing, just the way the melody flowed, and how the drums blend in, it was amazing! keep it up dude!

BlastBeats responds:

The thing I love of asking others what they think about when listening to my music, is getting to hear very interesting stories like yours. Thanks for the review :D

I absolutely love it. I cant find words for this pure amazingness. Mind Blowingly good!!!!!!!!!

BlastBeats responds:

Thanks a parking lot man! ;)

Very good melody and I like the old reverb the guitar has. My favorite thing about this song was probably how it shifts from quiet, to loud and susoenseful. It was kind of like a whole genre chamve! I typically don't like misc. Music, but this was good. It gives me a dnb feel, but then I feel the dance feel. This was overall amazing. I love this track because it is so different. This is my opinion, but I Would like some piano chords in the beginning. Amazing. Simply amazing....

BlastBeats responds:

I have the biggest smile on my face reading your review. It was my goal to use the suspension to blend two seemingly separate parts together! Also, I put this under misc because I didn't really stick to a specific genre, but the song definitely shows similarities to certain genres. And there actually are piano chords in the beginning! I might turn up the volume of those now I think about it.
A massive thanks for the kind words, and the well written review!
