Super heavy track that I probably need to mix a little better. But turn your speaker up to loud and make your neighbour angry. You've probably heard some of this breakdown before.

The stuff I used to mix this stuff is all the usual stuff. No vocals. Suck my dragon balls bitch call me Goku.

This is such a sick track

This flew under my radar man. My apologies, check out my newest track and see what you think!

super fuckin heavy

yea the bass drums could maybe thud a bit more (turn down the level and up the low eq?), but the patterns are on point. The higher parts that come in around the 1 minute part should probably come forward a bit more in the mix (it's better later on in the track). Nice use of effects, and the breakdown at 1:30 was quite refreshing. found myself nodding my head along for sure, was ready to jump into a mosh pit around the 2 minute mark.

there's tons of variation in this, but it all seems to fit in together...and bringing back a main riff from time to time is going to allow me to get at least part of this stuck in my head. good shit

I know this is late but thank you my duder. Check out my newest track if you're keen on this.

So, I don't know anything about metal and deathcore or what ever. So I don't have the slightest clue what's going on, or what even is supposed to be going on, But I'll list some key points just on a mixing and mastering standpoint.

You percussion is spot on. Maybe I'd turn down the kick just a little bit, because steals focus from the rest of the track, rather than drive it. It just takes over completely anytime it hits.

You bass and lower end sounds are pretty nice. Other than the whole track ducking behind your kick, they seem to fit well when it is there. Speaking of which, I think there should be more low end sub bass, to carry some of the distorted guitars that are leading the track, because they're quite hollow (Don't forget, I may not even know what I'm talking about. I don't typically listen to this genre so I don't know what it's supposed to sound like)

at 1:28 I can't tell if those are vocals or a synth or a guitar. It sounds like it could either be female vocals, or a guitar sample/sound drowned out by the dynamics of other sounds. It's pretty cool to me, but you should learn how to clean up your mixes so it's not so cluttered.

All in all, it's not too bad of a track. I don't know your experience, but I'd say take some ideas you got from this and apply it towards a new track idea. Good luck on your future tracks!

hoorayjay responds:

Man I feel like a stooge for not replying to this. This is some of the best advice I've picked up here. Regardless of your metalcore knowledge, mixing and mastering knowhow still plays a part, so I thank you for that.

Pretty good ...
