[Don't worry if the track doesn't play at first; it's very long so it could take a time to load; please be patient :]

First and foremost:

This is my longest recorded piano improvisation to date. Why did I do it? See, this is part of a very special project.
More information about it can be found here:

This improvisation is dedicated to a good friend, and an avid Newgrounds user, who's currently known as MactaMendax.

He makes some incredible music, but has had his fair share of rough patches in life. So a few of us musicians here on NG decided to get together and create a collab album, dedicated to SnowTeddy. What you hear here, is a part of that result. Do check out the other pieces, and most importantly, check out MactaMedax, and show your support!

Additionally, we decided that we'd promote a charity through our joint efforts, so please, check out this link, and consider donating even a small amount:

Back on (to the) track, I suppose.
I can't imagine many to actually listen to this whole improvisation, but feel free to jump around and listen to certain parts, or have it on as background music (or whatever else you come up with). The original filesize actually exceeded NG's 250MB limitation, so I had to lessen the quality ever so slightly.

I also felt it would be a waste to record only the audio of myself improvising for 2 hours straight, and not also do the same for a video. So... I did also film myself playing! You can check it out here:

I recommend the part between approx 40:30 - 48:00, if you want to have some idea of what part to listen to/watch.

Thanks for the support, and once again, please extend that to MactaMendax, the charity, as well as the rest of the music and people involved in the project!

Wow this is something else, so emotional... *look at the length* Mother of FSM... Over an hour of pure awesome music. I'm gonna listen to this while making fractals, for sure. :O. Opposed to Soundchris' minimal piece, this is the macro take on it. The piano plays are so full of feeling and I could feel the train of thoughts flow through every note of this piece. I don't know what to say more. This is something out of a dream. It's just perfect and deep. When I read the convo between you and Phono (sorry i tried to catch up all the 3-4 months of convos and inside jokes you guys made) about the part from mid-to-end, he talked about that moving and well-connected parts. And he was so right like always, they are the best ever!

This is just something I love about NG. This place enables and provides the best of the best musicians, animators, artists and talents of all kinds coming together to make things happen. Without NG, in my own opinion, magnanimous works like this would be very difficult to happen. And here we are, with many of the best musicians working together on a collab project. I'm sorry, I'm just overwhelmed by you all, your wonderful works and the love for each other that I have not seen elsewhere. It just happens. That's the beautiful thing about Newgrounds. (bless you Tom Fulp) And I believe this piece sums everything up so well.

Thank you.

Hey there, dem0!
While this is 2 hours in length, it's not my longest session by the piano. That said, I've never recorded this much at once before! It was really fun and rewarding, so I'm really happy we got together on the project, which motivated me to finally record a 2 hour improv. The most difficult part, I suppose, is to keep the focus, and try to vary the playing so that it doesn't just become the same thing for the whole 2 hours. That said, there are a lot of pretty bad parts, some filled with errors that are easily audible.
On that note, I think SoundChris's track is far prettier (also, just because it's composed in a beautiful manner, with a lot of thought put into it). What I wanted to serve, instead, was something more direct and real. I haven't touched a single note; they are all exactly like I played them at the time, so I hope this improvisation stays true to how the music was channeled through me at the time of playing.
I'm really excited to hear you'll listen to it while making fractals! Partly because I am looking forward to seeing those once you've made them ;)
After all, I used your fractal "memory", for the cd image :D

As you know, I am most inclined to agree with you about Newgrounds being a fantastic place, to the point where words may not be enough to describe it. It feels great to be part of such a creative and driven community. Tom did indeed create something absolutely marvelous.

This improvisation, is obviously dedicated to you. The title too, takes into account your vision of the world, society, music, people, and thoughts. I hope you're pleased with the result ^___^
Thank you for listening, reviewing, and staying true to who you are!
And donating, dude. Holy shit! I hope you're doing well o.O

Take care!

:O .. I.. bu... it... a... wha... please give me some words I cant, I just cant... it's too good, I'm afraid I would screw it up with a bad comment :)
