I wrote some soundtrack music inspired by a book series I've been reading lately called the "Taken" trilogy. These tracks are inspired by the first book called "Lost and Found" by Alan Dean Foster. I have a few more tracks in mind for this mini-series!

I'll be honest. I think this song made like two people cry in my little team (possibly more crying in private). It is so emotional! My friend and I wrote a script with this in mind, and... *cries in agony* hahaha. Very nice!

I wonder if there is any way to link this to the books, on Amazon (and/or elsewhere)? Full credit to you, of course.
Ever tried working with Sibelius?
Love the feeling for the vastness and majesty of the galaxy, as well as the sense of loss (i.e., main character is never going to get home again).
I'm glad to have inspired, a little.

SuperTonic64 responds:

Hi Alan,

I really don't know what to say - I think you just made my existence, and I'm honestly quite ecstatic that you reached out! I really loved the "Taken" trilogy, and I knew as soon as I finished the books that I wanted to create music that captured some of the feelings and moments that the characters experienced. I was definitely inspired, especially by Marc's plight and his determination that arose from it.

I haven't worked with Sibelius too much, but I use Finale for scoring/exporting MIDI files when needed! I usually compose solely within FLStudio now since my computer can finally handle the CPU load (for the most part) and I can get more of a "real-time" sense of how the piece is going to sound once it's finished.

I would be honored for you to link this on Amazon, or wherever you'd like! I have written a few more songs that are inspired by "Lost and Found" on SoundCloud, which is probably the best way to link/share with others (since I have a few more pieces in mind that I will be adding to the playlist there):

Thanks again Alan for listening to my work, and for the great review. I'm very much looking forward to reading more of your books, as I've become a big fan! :)

You have done a superb job on this. I would rate it as your best musical work to date! :)

SuperTonic64 responds:

Hey All-Ears,

Thanks so much for the review - I'm very happy you enjoyed it!! I'm definitely hoping to continue to improve music with each new piece!
