Now I feel lonely too. Well done, this is awesome.
Thanks again :)
The guitar in the beginning evokes a feeling of disappointment and uncertainty, a feeling I'm too familiar with. This comforting vibe comes and goes throughout this emotionally complex track. Overall, the track is pretty somber, which really suits my taste :D I love your synth manipulation effects. They add so much depth and retain my interest. The low frequency, monotonous strings add
a lot of power to the track and drive the vibe of angst and disappointment. The dissonant violin is a really nice addition that enhances the mood of the section.
I'm not sure how you managed to create such a complex and spectacular instrumental, with beautiful vocals on top of it, in such a short time frame! You're incredibly skilled :D
Thank you so much for your review and compliments! I noticed I write better music when I'm depressed. It's my way to escape the life I had. One of many escapism methods beside alcohol, drug and nightmare. These music are physical fragments of my memories, and of my damaged mind. Music is my way to temporary remove the burdens.
I forgot to review this earlier!
I've heard this a few times, and I love it.
I'm glad I could be a part of the inspiration for this piece! Rather than leave a long review this time, I'd rather just let you know I enjoyed the listen, all of the times (including now) ^ ^
Thank you, and keep up the great work!
Thank you very much for your thoughtful review! I always think about you guys in my daily life. You guys are my whole world.
For a 10+ min piece, this actually keeps me interested throughout. Very interesting beginning, and the ascending melodic contour at 1:31 is a nice touch. I like the far mix/ subtle approach. You seem to have a better handle at adding different sections without one thing becoming too blaring. The slight breakdown at 6:15 is nice as well. Just everything is done tastefully in how you introduce different instruments and how you withhold things. This piece really does inspire me and I still wish you submitted this to the Picoday collection so the rest of Newgrounds can take notice. Great loop!
It was difficult to keep the whole track going without bored out the listeners. I was wondering what should I add after the part at 6:00 cos I ran out of ideas. Then I think of something like Waterflame and Savant would do. Honestly I don't know why I could keep it over 10 minutes.
I found these free dnb samples online, free for all use too. So I plugged the samples into the DAW and make the beats. Then come the magic. I used a plugin made in Reaktor to humanize and randomize them. The strings were easy to make and so was the rest.
Thank you for your thoughtful and kind review. :) I really do hope you win Pico Day. Take care and have fun with your love one on the trip!
Thanks for the review :)
