Darkening echoes contort, through these fragments of my fading dreams.
Left alone to thrive, struggling to survive, the power drained from my beaten body.
The sickening feeling never fades, I'm physically falling apart.
The fist of judgements cruel, authorities tool, I'm trapped in a vortex of pain.

Shattering, meaningless fragments.
Hollowing from the inside.
Perverse, terrible enactments.
Everything's cruel, I'm about to die.
Pointless, I'm bleeding out.
Slowly perishing away.
Mentally, drowning in doubt.
I'll just be a memory after today.

It doesn't matter how much I'm beaten down.
The result is always the same.
Bleeding through my body, beaten around.
I pray for salvation every day.
Deemed as useless, casted out.
Thrown around and cared about nevermore.
This painful endless doubt
That I should find a reason to live any more.

I ran for help, I tried to hide.
Primal terror, trying to survive.
Everyone proceeded to turn me away.
My abusers smiled as they decided my fate.
Dragged deep into the depths where I can't be saved
A victim of violence, I'm enslaved to the pain.

I didn't care for it. This sounds like it's trying to come across as depressing, unsettling, and hopeless, rather than doing so naturally. As a result, I felt nothing. The song is well-made, but it left no impression upon me.

I must ask, could you clarify by what you mean by 'doing so naturally'? if I go and craft certain sounds to go towards the whole depressing and hopeless vibe, then what classifies between naturally and not-naturally?

The entire idea of something coming across as 'natural' or not sounds like a personal-bias instead of a proper explanation in this case.

This gives me a very keen, uncomfortable feeling. Probably stems from a lot of abuse in my life, suicide, etc. The double vocoder stack is not so much a bad idea as one that could have been taken better advantage of melodically, rather than in drone. Transitions are well done here, and poetry is quite evocative. It's just hard to get behind without an overarching melody in those vocals that cover up the hopeless atmosphere you've crafted.

Ayyy, the stack was a weird one to control, very sensitive to even the slightest of changes. Pushing it through different notes via a carrier makes the stack sound wildly different and in many cases, worse. Keeping it as a monotone throughout the track and slapping extra chorus on ended up being the safest compromise in this case. I wish I was doing this through a hardware vocoder, much easier to do then haha. I'm usually used to doing Power Fry-Styled Aggrotech vocal processing on my pieces so this was a gamble I was willing to go for in the end.

Even after several listens separated by days, I still get an uncomfortable feeling when I listen to it. The cries, the artwork, and dark tones gives me an uneasy feeling more so than the piece I submitted. The transition at a minute in is quite solid. Good mixing there.

You had me from the first second! It's extremely rare to hear something that sounds this raw and effective. I'm quite a cynical person, but this track almost made me feel a bit uncomfortable at points! Uncomfortable in a very pleasant way though ;)

The lyrics are just as on point as the sound. You know, I actually saw Zephyo's piece the day it was uploaded, on January the 2nd last year. It's quite incredible to have it come back to life in this manner!

As always, I've very impressed by your mix. The sheer amount of power is amazing! The cool effects, the background, the cries of despair, the instrumental aspects are all killer, and totally your style!
I honestly can't say much more. I'm simply very impressed!
I'm glad you took the time to work on this, to the point where it sounds this good.

The lyrics are captiv ating.

I'm not accustomed at all to this kind of music, but I'm starting to it enjoy it now that I desensitized myself to it after a couple listens. This is a fantastic track that resembles the image appropriately! I think you have a good chance of getting a top spot in the competition! Either way, this song will be unforgettable for many listeners, in a good way. :)
