[Jam] Long synthesizer jam

Tried to make some kinda acid sound on the JP-8000 but nothing quite compares to an analog sync. (So it doesn't sound like acid).

In any case I just let the arpeggio play and tweaked knobs, then brought in a simple sine with some vibrate from the Korg Trinity and just poked away for 8 and a half minutes. Sounds moody I think. Not sure what genre this would fit under best.

This is straight out of the recording interface, I only normalized it, so it does sound a bit rough.

Really interesting jam... the sound starts out as if picking up an atmosphere then picks up a space / mystery type theme that could go well with so many different things. I almost wonder how this would sound with drums added into the mix but it would likely ruin the build into the atmosphere that this tune has going.

The jam makes me feel like I'm exploring life, mysteries, making sandwiches, exploring new adventures in my mind. It is a very nice jam, glad to hear it.

Mich responds:

Thanks Neko :) I think sine waves with vibrate have some inherent mysterious quality to them, I quite like it. I think I'd have a hard time laying down drums in a structure that makes sense, as there's not really much of a structure to the piece itself.

I chuckled at "making sandwiches", I'm going to assume you're referring to the "jam" bit. :P

Thanks for the review!

Not really my thing, but there are a lot of interesting sounds here to enjoy, and it doesn't hurt my hears in any sense. Once you start poking, it becomes music to my ears. Very spacey, musical music. I now see why everyone and their mother liked to mess around with these in their basements all hours of the night :P

Mich responds:

I really like the sound of a simple sine wave with some vibrato. :) Glad you enjoyed it, and glad I took AliceMako's advice of just hitting the record button whenever jamming away.

Thanks for the review!
