Very relaxing. :)
That was the idea :P I wonder where that sweet harp came from?
Composition-wise, this is very solid, dynamic, and quite enjoyable. What I dislike is the mid-range reverb ringing, which is just very unnatural to my ears. No matter how much I enjoy the composition itself, whatever reverb plugin you've got going on is just not doing it for me.
Thanks for your thoughts EDM. No reverb plugin, just the reverb that comes with Versil's EtherealWindsHarp VST. Composing for playable harp can be challenging, (which this scored composition is, a playable harp composition). At any rate thanks for leaving a review :)
A nice solid Solo Instrument entry. Pretty daring doing it in AIM but I think you've got something here solid enough to fit with the art theme.
Only real complaint would be how the reverb occasionally resonates unnaturally at points and sounds weird through my speakers and headphones frequency-wise, but otherwise it's no biggie.
Thank you Lich! A bit daring, I agree! I can hear what you mean about the unnatural reverb, it was tricky with my headphones but I know just what you mean! Thank you for the review!
I feel the harp at the beginning needs to be a bit sharper, needs better mixing. It rings too much in the mids. It is also a bit quiet, could be a little louder. This a pretty piece though that you have composed. I feel it could be supported by violins in the background, have some sort of buildup and still stay calm, but have relaxing string in the background.
This is very melodic though, I like that, original piece still in terms of melody. Good work, but needs to show more of this song's potential through the mixing and adding more.
Cool RF, appreciate your opinion :)
This guy is done. Could use better mixing for sure, but I needed to work with what I have.
The large majority of this is written at pianississimo maxing nearly at "half loud"
