This is a cover (yes, not a remix) of FirePowerX's song Eliminator, for the purposes of his remix contest. I decided to do it to bring out the massive potential in the piece, and... well, just because I felt I could.

All the melodies were recreated by ear and I didn't use a single MIDI; modifications were made where necessary to keep tonality. I tried to imagine I was playing most of these instruments -- which I can in theory or in practice, apart from the FL Slayer guitar. No transposition though; I just felt it unnecessary.

Hearing the final boss theme from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 gave me the mood and inspiration for this piece, but I also did try to give it a semi-futuristic feel in places.

At the time of writing, this is the only cover or remix of this work which isn't a subgenre of electronic music. I remember how proud I was of this preview and I am really happy with it now -- the air in my chest pounds with this song, which is a first for anything I have done to date. This is also, incidentally, a project file which has just as lush an instrumentation as Propter Te some 5 years ago. I cannot say I have come to the level of mixing it properly, but if my chest is left pounding to the drum, it is a good sign. I think? Certainly feels like I am playing with power though, and it feels GREAT.

Ladies and gentlemen we have a hit! I wasn't too into the original, but yours takes it a new direction.

It reminds me of many of classic Falcom games from the Y's and Legend of Heroes series.

Well done!

Really great approach to the source material! Your style always has a sort of mystical flavor and I'm not sure where that comes from. It's great. In general, I think you could EQ the highs up a bit more to make it sparkle. Some of the edges feel a little fuzzy. Other than that, great work!
