I'm totally listening to this one, because technically, I know it - I just have very few memories for my short playthrough of Echos.
00:40 OHOOOOOOOH, I REMEMBER THAT THOUGH!
00:46 I'm also loving the direction taken here. It sounds so intense, yet action-packed at the same time. And ohoh, the drums at 1:05! Definitely going for the action-packed idea fel more than the dramatic feel, but well it's still Metroid, so I'm glad you didn't forget to add these eery sounds that are basically its mark.
2mins in, nothing else to add so far. Tension is here, drama is here, action is here, Metroid is here. Definitely a great gift to those who played it - darn I need to share this with a few of my friends, one in particular is boht a musical composer AND a die-hard Metroid fan, he'll surely eargasm from this XD
3:16 ...You totally got better with the drums too, darn it, it's not just the piano, awesome! ...*thinks* then again there were already present before, but maybe it's 'cause I've been listening to your Pokemon year a bit more than the rest. Hmm.
4:08 ...That... That is a simple, yet briliant way to end this track. Just... the drums, beating like the heart of a giant monster. It actually kinda reminds me of how you used them to end Bloody Tears. "Dramatic tension builder = check."
Anywho! This... WOW, this is joining my mp3 too, it's awesome XD Dunno what you have in store next, but if you take suggestion, I wonder how you'd tackle a few tracks I have in mind. I'll list them in my next comment whenever you publish a new track - no more than 6 musical suggestions, and since the're just suggestions, you can litereally just ignore them all and proceed, lol.
Keep it up! It's GREAT to have you back :3
